Use the grommet closer to the tent to make your tent skin more tight.
Place your tent stakes through the webbing loop at the end of the webbing strap.

The ring and pin are attached together.
The ring fits onto a loop at the base of a tent where the pole ends.
The pole goes over the pin and stays in place.
